Pezeshkian hosts Paidari Front, invites his opposition party to unity

Iranian president Masoud Pezeshkian hosted influential members of the Paidari Front this week at a time when Israel's crimes have created days full of tensions in West Asia. The Paidari Front is known as one of the most right-wing political groups in Iran.

Nournews:
The meeting was held on Sunday night, with obvious whispers being heard about a probable aggression by the Zionist regime against Iran.
Pezeshkian’s meeting with the members of the Paidari Front was held while many political factions with the same ideology as the president were still waiting to see him.
Giving priority to an opposition party clearly shows that Pezeshkian is actualizing and promoting a national unity discourse.
Pezeshkian, after two months in office, has shown that he is far from politicizing and monopolizing and prefers to choose his colleagues in the government based on merit and expertise.
The Paidari Front, which is backed by some of the most influential managers and religious figures, was Pezeshkian’s strong rival during the presidential campaign, which led to Pezeshkian’s election. This party has few theoretical and practical commonalities with Pezeshkian. However, national unity is a virtue because it promotes consultation even with staunch opposition and rivals.
Unity is not about forgetting beliefs or mottos, so Pezeshkian was very clear about his discourse while addressing his guests from the Paidari Front. The words of the guests have not been publicized, but we know that the president believes that the country’s integration is not a choice but a necessity. He has said, “What has saved our country against domestic and foreign threats is the actualization of unity in our country.”
According to this discourse, Pezeshkian’s focal point has been inviting his guests from the Paidari Front to cooperate and increase unity for the sake of national interests.
