The spokesperson of Iran’s Atomic Energy Agency visited the Nournews media group on Tuesday.
Kamalvandi highlighted the influential role of Nournews as a source of media in producing specialized reports and news, as well as video content on various topics, particularly political and international security issues. He added, "Over the past 8 years, Nournews has played a valuable role in explaining the country’s strategic policies by supporting political and national security."
Kamalvandi also addressed the fluid state of the international system and the efforts of dominant powers to align the perceptions of various social groups with the ideal order of these powers. He noted that, due to rapid changes in politics, economics, society, and security, long-term strategies have been replaced by short- and medium-term strategies, with media playing a uniquely important role in the advancement and realization of these scenarios.
He described the attempts by media streams affiliated with dominant powers to portray a negative image of Iran’s nuclear activities as highly dangerous, aiming to divert public opinion and promote Iranophobia. He added, "Accurate and comprehensive explanations of Iran’s peaceful nuclear activities, as well as its technological, economic, and infrastructural achievements, are among the most important responsibilities of domestic media, in the effort to shape a realistic understanding of this industry among the public and the elite."
Nournews will release an extensive interview with Kamalvandi in the coming days.
