UN expert: Israel’s presence in a post-war Gaza legally wrong

The UN special rapporteur on the human rights situation in the occupied Palestinian territory said “imagining Israel’s continued presence in “post-war” Gaza (where the scars of its genocide are indelible)” is “absolutely legally wrong”.

In a post on X, Francesca Albanese cited the recent International Court of Justice ruling that said Israel’s continued presence in the occupied Palestinian territory is unlawful and should come to an end “as rapidly as possible”.
