TEHRAN – The Iranian deputy defense minister has emphasized that it was the unwavering determination of the Iranian people that truly propelled the success of Operation True Promise, causing significant shifts in regional and international dynamics.
In a ceremony on Sunday, Brigadier General Reza Talaei-Nik underscored the significance of advanced military equipment as a deterrent in contemporary defense strategies.
Expounding on the people-centered essence of Iran’s system, he stressed the pivotal role of people's participation in national affairs for achieving success.
Drawing parallels with past victories during the Iran-Iraq War, Talaei-Nik underscored how heightened people's participation had resulted in significant achievements.
While acknowledging the role of advanced military equipment like drones and missiles in deterrence, he emphasized that the ultimate success of True Promise Operation against the Zionist regime was rooted in the resolute determination of the people.
Talaei-Nik emphasized the need for continual enhancement of the country's capabilities to effectively counter threats in both soft and hard warfare arenas.
Earlier this month, Iran launched a swarm of drones and missiles at the occupied Palestinian territories in response to the Zionist regime’s cowardly strike on Iran’s consulate in Damascus on April 1st.
The Israeli airstrikes on Iran’s embassy in Damascus had killed two generals of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Zahedi and General Mohammad Hadi Haji Rahimi, as well as five of their accompanying officers.
Following the operation, Iran warned Israel against taking any retaliatory actions and urged the United States to try not to involve itself in the conflict.
Despite mounting evidence of Israel's aggression and violation of international law, many nations have either remained conspicuously silent or issued tepid statements, failing to denounce the crimes perpetuated by Israel, whether in Gaza or against Iran.
Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has resulted in the death of more than 34,000 Palestinians so far, with a majority being women and children.
