TEHRAN- Hossein Amir Abdollahian, the Iranian Foreign Minister, has described the occupying regime as the primary source of all regional disputes and emphasized the necessity of ending the Israeli regime’s murderous attack on Gaza and respecting the rights of the oppressed Palestinians living there.
Amir Abdollahian said as much on Friday night over the phone with his Portuguese counterpart Paulo Rangel.
The senior Iranian diplomat emphasized that the Israeli regime is the source of all issues and the unstable state of affairs in West Asia, calling for a halt to Israeli military offensives on the Gaza Strip and respect for the inherent rights of Palestinians.
Amir Abdollahian said that the crew of a Portuguese-flagged ship that was apprehended and connected to Israel has been given access to a consulate and is anticipated to be released.
“We have serious concerns about the humanitarian aspect of the ship’s crew release,” he said.
“We seriously consider the release of the ship’s crew as a humanitarian issue, and we have announced to their ambassadors in Tehran their access to consular services, release and extradition,” Amir Abdollahian said, the Foreign Ministry’s website reported.
Eyal Ofer, an Israeli tycoon in the fields of real estate, energy, technology, and shipping, is the owner of the MSC Aries, which is run by Zodiac Maritime.
The Israeli millionaire owns Zodiac Group, which includes Zodiac Maritime.
On April 13, the Sepah Navy Special Force (SNSF) used a heliborne operation and force rappelling on the ship’s deck to detained the Portuguese-flagged vessel.
Rangel, for his part, called for an immediate halt to hostilities in Gaza, said that the Portuguese government is in favor of the formation of an autonomous Palestinian state, and urged all other nations in the region to do the same.
The parties also discussed how Tehran and Lisbon have had positive and long-standing connections and shared ideas on how to take such ties even further.
Since October 7 of last year, when the Israeli regime began the war on the beleaguered enclave in response to the Hamas’ Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, at least 34,305 individuals have been killed by the Israeli military throughout Gaza.
Even with the relentless campaign of carnage and devastation, the regime has not been able to accomplish its objectives, which included forcing the whole population of Gaza to flee into neighboring Egypt and breaking up Gaza’s resistance.
