Iran’s policy is to establish stability and security in regional countries by themselves

Strategic Council Online: Dr. Seyed Kamal Kharazi, the president of the Strategic Council on Foreign Relations, continuing his meetings in Beirut, met with Mr. Nabih Berri, Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament.

Mr. Berri explained the latest developments in Lebanon’s political situation and the president’s election in this meeting. He emphasized that the formation of the government is only possible through constructive dialogue between the Lebanese parties and that he, as the parliament speaker, will continue his efforts to bring the views of all parties closer.

Dr. Kharazi also emphasized in this meeting that the Islamic Republic of Iran supports the formation of the government in Lebanon as soon as possible based on the people’s will and without any foreign interference.

Explaining Iran’s regional policies, Dr. Kharazi said that the policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran is to establish stability and security by the countries of the region and will try to help create a favorable environment for the peaceful resolution of problems in the region.
