In remarks covered by online newspaper Raialyoum, Allam said Iran has continued to condemn aggression and crimes committed by the Zionist regime and the Western government’s silence in dealing with those crimes.
However, he said that the Arab governments have chosen to keep silent on the plight of the Palestinians.
The former Egyptian minister also referred to Iran’s recent position regarding West’s silence on Israeli attacks on Syria, adding that the Arabs have said nothing about the killing of their brothers in an Arab country.
He expressed regret that the expulsion of a Zionist delegation from a recent summit of the African Union did not receive enough political and media attention in Egypt and many Arab countries.
Allam said Arabs have lost their identity and have forgotten about their historic memory.
