Sharif House: A national heritage in Bandar Abbasbankarc.ir
The city of Bandar Abbas, the capital of Hormuzgan Province, is located on the southern coast of Iran, on the Persian Gulf. It is bordered by Hajiabad on the north, Bandar Khamir on the west, and Minab and Rudan on the east.

Geno Mountain, with an elevation of more than 2,000 meters at its peak, is a continuation of the Zagros Mountains, which begin in the northern part of Bandar Abbas.

Sharif House, a historical heritage dating back to the Pahlavi Era (1925-1979 CE), is in Bandar Abbas. It was registered on Iran’s National Heritage List in the Iranian year to mid-March 2006, chtn.ir wrote.

The house was built in harmony with its surrounding nature, on a stone platform to prevent moisture from entering.

Constructed by a well-known landowner named Sharif, the monument is now in the possession of his heirs.

There are 20 columns in the southern, southwestern, southeastern, and northern parts of the building, which extends in an area of 4,545 square meters.

The house has four large rooms, three small rooms, and a pond designed like a six-petal flower. No other significant decoration is seen in the building.

Sharif House does not have a windcatcher, but it was designed in a way that the wind flows easily inside the building.

With the progress achieved in various fields, new facilities, including electricity and water supply system were added to the house.

The main parts of the building are made of stone, mortar and plaster. The old house, with a traditional roof made of palm wood, was restored in the past years.

The rooms of the structure are parallel and face each other, and their stained glass windows have given a special look to the building.

With regard to the unique porticoes of the building and the native trees surrounding it, the house can be turned into an eco lodge.
