Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Washington's decision to end the combat mission in Iraq deserves attention.
NOURNEWS - Peskov pointed out that it is too early to judge and should wait for the next steps, saying that after the U.S. decision, the possibility of conflict in the Middle East should not be increased.
Speaking at a news conference today (Tuesday), the Kremlin spokesman commented on the US decision to end its combat mission in Iraq: "This situation deserves more attention. The situation in Iraq is a little different because apparently many military advisers remain there. We will monitor developments, and it is too early to be optimistic about events.
Peskov stressed that Moscow is working to develop bilateral cooperation with Baghdad.
