Militants Sent by US to Spy f7ffe
The Syrian army thwarted an infiltration attempt carried out by a group of US-backed "Maghawier Thowra/Revolutionary Commando" faction towards the Syrian state-controlled areas and aimed at spying on Syrian military installations.
According to private sources, the militants tried to infiltrate on motorcycles from the "Al-Tanf" area, where the American base is stationed, towards the Syrian state-controlled areas in Homs' eastern countryside. The first group of them passed on a mined area, and its members were killed by a landmine explosion, while the second group members were arrested by the Syrian army.
During the investigations, it was revealed that all the militants hold the Syrian nationality, are residents of "Albukamal" and "Deir Al-Zour" cities, aged between / 25 / to / 43 /, and all of them belong to the US-backed "Revolutionary Commando" faction. They were assigned by American intelligence to monitor and collect information about the military installations of the Syrian army, monitor the movements of Syrian army vehicles, and prepare for offensive operations targeting the Syrian army and Russian forces. It was also revealed that the militants had fought earlier with ISIS before joining the “Revolutionary Commando” faction while they were in the “Rukban” camp, which is besieged by American forces.
One of the arrested militants confirmed that inside "Rukban", who refuse to fight against the Syrian army and belong to the US-backed factions, do not receive food, care or any of the necessities of life, pointing out that many men in the camp are forced to work with the militants and sign a contract with the Americans to provide living requirements for themselves and their families, as there is no other way to survive in the deep desert camp under the American siege.
