The tumultuous events of the past few days following the daylight murder of an Afro-American citizen in Minneapolis by a white-skinned police officer, once again prove that the administration in the White House is not just incompetent but a roguish one that should never be given a second term by the electorate in the forthcoming presidential polls.
This is evident by the threats and tweets of Donald Trump who instead of acting like a president by tendering apology to the colored citizens in order to diffuse the fiery protests that have engulfed at least 30 cities, is behaving like a thug, oblivious of the fact that he is dragging the US to its doom.
In the words of Ilhan Omar, a Democratic congresswoman who represents Minneapolis, Trump is "glorifying violence” as is clear by the situation on the streets where the people are being "terrorized by the presence of tanks, by the presence of the National Guard and a militarized police.”
It should be noted that the US president who is regarded both nationally and internationally as an idiot, a criminal, and a terrorist, inflamed the initially peaceful protests following 46-year George Floyd’s choking to death with extreme knee pressure by Derek Chauvin, through such comments as "when the looting starts the shooting starts.”
It made people recall the Charlottesville incidents of 2017 in Virginia, when Trump messed up the situation by calling the protestors "Nazi mobs”, and has seen tens of thousands of people, including whites and others, take to the streets, against rampant social injustice in the US.
Now as violent protests continue to rock almost the entire length and breadth of the US, with at least 25 cities under curfews and demonstrations swelling in Washington, Trump has threatened the protesters that they would be met by "the most vicious dogs and most ominous weapons” if they tried to breach the White House perimeter.
It is an undeniable fact that because of Trump’s policies, whether at home or abroad, the US has become a pariah state that will soon see the end of its illegal military presence from most of the world, including Europe.
With the traditional European allies distancing themselves from Washington for its lawless policies of undermining the Paris Climate Accord, breaching the Iran nuclear agreement (JCPOA), starting a trade war with China, and withdrawing from the World Health Organization (WHO) because of its own acute inability to check the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic, the US is now facing an acid test at home that will certainly tear into shreds the ethnic composition of the country.
In the Islamic Republic of Iran, the new parliament has issued a stern warning for ending Washington’s terrorist presence in the region.
The newly elected Parliament Speaker, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, did not mince words when he said yesterday in a clear tone: "negotiations or compromise with the US – the axis of Global Arrogance – are futile and harmful.”
He said Tehran’s strategy in confrontation with the "American terrorists” is completion of the process of vengeance for the assassination of Iran’s iconic anti-terrorist general, Qassem Soleimani, and a full revenge will be taken when the "terrorist US army” is completely expelled from the region.
Thus, the writing on the wall is clear for Trump, if he has any eyesight left. The current wave of nationwide protests is sure to kill any hopes he has of re-election, which means he will be dragging the US to its doom, if he resorts to any adventure abroad for retaining the US presidency, whether in the South China Sea or the Persian Gulf, from where the terrorist American forces will eventually be driven out.
