Harvesting cantaloupe on fields in Gerash, Fars province

SHIRAZ, (MNA) – “Cantaloupe” is cultivated in early Iranian month of Esfand [Feb. – March] in tropical regions, Gerash county, south of Fars province and is harvested in Iranian month of Khordad [June].

This tropical fruit is exported to the cities like Shiraz, Mashhad, Kerman, Yazd as well as cities of the province.
