Tehran (IP) - Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman in reaction to US Secretary of State criticism on Iran's fight against the Coronavirus said while the United States has the highest number of people infected with the Coronavirus the officials in Washington are not deserved to comment on Iran's efforts to combat the Coronavirus.
Iran Press/Iran News: Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Seyyed Abbas Mousavi responded to the comments of the Secretary of State and US State Department spokesman on Iran's fight against the Coronavirus noting, "Endangering the health of the Iranian people by economic and medical terrorism and committing crimes against humanity, as well as poor performance against the Coronavirus within the United States.
Mousavi added that while the United States has the highest number of people infected with the Coronavirus and the 'America First' slogan is realized only in this misery when American people are living in very horrible conditions, the officials in Washington are not deserved to comment on Iran's efforts to combat the Coronavirus.
"The US State Department officials have commented on Iran's actions based on false information by anti-Iranian lobbyists and cheaters," Mousavi highlighted.
The spokesman noted, "In recent years, the US government has acknowledged spending at least $ 9 trillion to interfere in the internal affairs of the Middle East and create insecurity and instability."
"The cost of creating and strengthening terrorist groups such as ISIS until the disgraceful the Deal of the Century that was dead-born. Of that amount, the staggering $ 2 trillion was just Donald Trump's first 3 years in office", the official noted.
The spokeman noted, "Indeed, if these enormous expenditures were made for the tens of millions of poor in the United States in these difficult days, would we have seen nurses crying for lack of facilities, and patients crying in the country claims economic prosperity and defender of human rights?
Mousavi said such harsh remarks could not hide the Trump administration's weak performance against Corona, its bad economic and stock market conditions and internal pressure in the months leading up to the US presidential election or the crisis making outside the United States.
