9th World Peace Forum kicks off in Indonesian capital

The 9th edition of the World Peace Forum has kicked off in the Indonesian capital Jakarta on Monday.

Hundreds of Muslim scholars, elites and thinkers from across the globe attended the opening ceremony of the annual meeting, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

A number of Indonesian officials and thinkers expressed their views on the topic of the meeting “Considering Wasatiyyat Islam and Tiong Hua for Global Collaboration.”

The Iranian delegation in this conference is comprised of Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, the Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, Mohammad Boroujerdi, Iran’s ambassador to Indonesia and also Mohammadreza Ebrahimi, Iran’s cultural attaché to Jakarta.

Specialized meetings on moderate Islam are also scheduled to be held as part of the conference.

Moderate Islam worldview and its importance for world civilization

A review of practical solutions for global cooperation based on moderate Islam and Tiong Hua

The 9th edition of the World Peace Forum is considered a platform for dialogue among civilizations, regional cooperation and building global peace.
