TEHRAN PAPERS
TEHRAN - Kayhan devoted its editorial to the closure of Iranian consulates in Frankfurt, Hamburg, and Munich by Germany and wrote: The German government has closed these consulates in protest to the execution of Jamshid Sharmahd, the leader of the Tondar terrorist group.
It should be said that during the 33-day war (in the summer of 2006) between Lebanon's Hezbollah and the Zionist regime, the German government, while supporting Israel, imposed sanctions on the Islamic Republic of Iran. Germany has never adopted a position or acted outside the will or dictates of America. The Zionist identity of the German government does not create the slightest doubt that the German embassy in Iran is the “Israeli consulate”. This means that the continuation of the presence of the German ambassador and embassy in our country is equal to permitting the Zionist regime to open a consulate in Iran. These days, considering the barbaric crimes of the Zionist regime and the anti-Zionist sentiments of the people of the world, the most suitable opportunity has been provided to close the German embassy in Iran. It is hoped that the officials of our country will not miss this golden opportunity.
Arman-e-Melli: Iran's answer to Israel should create deterrence
In an interview with Arman-e-Melli, Mehdi Motaharnia, the head of the Simorgh Future Studies Institute, discusses the confrontation between Iran and Israel. He said: Whether Iran will act harder than the two True Promise operations or not (in response to the Oct. 26 attack by Israel on Iran), Tehran is more aware than others of the current situation and the dangers that may threaten the country. One of the cases is the Zionist regime is seeking to form a coalition against Tehran. If the countries hostile to Iran form an alliance against our country under the leadership of the United States, and China and Russia form an alliance with Iran on the other side, the tension will escalate globally. If Iran responds to Israel with a high deterrence capability, the Zionist regime will seek to strike back. It must be said that if Iran's response does not act as a deterrence, it will end in Israel's favor. And, if Iran’s response creates an acceptable deterrence, Israel will seek the help of other countries to confront Iran. This is where decision-making will be important in any action.
Shargh: American elections are not inciting
Shargh dedicated its editorial to the American presidential which will be held on Tuesday. It wrote: Many believe there is no serious difference between (Republican candidate) Donald Trump and (Democratic candidate) Kamala Harris in foreign policy. One of the American analysts believes that the Biden administration was strongly unwilling to enter a serious confrontation with Iran, and recently it was trying to bring the Iranians to the negotiating table to solve the nuclear issue. For American candidates. Although both candidates follow different ideas they have one goal in common and that is pursuing a two-state solution in which Palestinians and Israelis would live in peace. In addition, Trump and Harris seek to normalize Israel's relations with Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia, but this will be far from possible without a resolution that guarantees the future of the Palestinians. In the 2024 U.S. presidential election, nothing has been left unsaid and the candidates have used all the opportunities. This has caused Iranians to lose their sensitivity to these elections. It seems that this election is a continuation of the 2020 election, which has lost its effectiveness.
Siasat-e-Rooz: Axis of Resistance must be armed
Siasat-e-Rooz said the Israeli regime used Iraq's airspace to attack Iran on October 26. In fact, it invaded the country’s airspace and violated Iraq's sovereignty. The government and people of Iraq have strongly condemned the aggressive action of the Israeli regime and complained to the United Nations, but the United Nations cannot be expected to react to this action. Considering the airstrikes of the fake Israeli regime on Iran from the Iraqi airspace, Iraq should be equipped with Iran's defense systems to counter the air aggression by Israel. Some people think that if Iran stops enmity with Israel, the Zionist regime will desist too. But if Iran takes a step back, then people will see what has happened to Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, and other Islamic countries. Now is the time for the Islamic countries in the region, which are classified as the Axis of Resistance, to be equipped with weapons. Just as America is busy arming the fake Israeli regime and supporting the crimes of this regime, Iran should also strengthen the resistance forces by delivering weapons.
