According to the Iranian official, the accumulated capabilities of the BRICS member states, including Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, help them have a big say at the international level.
Safari also emphasized that despite unilateral cruel sanctions imposed on Iran, the country has a good potential to expand ties with BRICS, adding that the member states will talk more about the issue at today’s conference.
Iran does not have any judgment on any decision-making process in BRICS, he said, noting that BRICS can reinforce its role in collaborations with other countries.
Tuesday morning, the Iran-BRICS conference was held at the Institute for Political and International Studies (IPIS) of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where officials from the ministry as well as a group of foreign ambassadors residing in Tehran participated in the event to identify mutual capacities between the two sides.
