Cartels direct US admin: expert

Tehran, IRNA – An Iranian expert said that the US administration is directed by big cartels and companies, as a result of the influence of money in the political system of the country.

In an interview with IRNA’s correspondent on Thursday, Fo’ad Izadi mentioned the remarks by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on the mafia government in the US.

Mafia government, Izadi said, means that a group of people who have neither moral nor doctrinal principles hurt both their country and the opposite side for their personal benefit.

The genuineness of money in the US political system has been studied by American political scholars and there are a host of studies and statistics to show that the winner in the US elections is the one who spends more, the expert noted.

The result of such money influence in the political system is that the money and personal interests become the main concerns for politicians, he added.

Izadi further elaborated that the one who assumes power in the US seeks contacts and funds in line with their personal interests and acts in accordance with the interests of those who funded them.

This way, he continued, the government is turned into a mafia government that is willing to stage coups, crimes and slaughters to reach their own objectives, like what we saw in Ukraine in 2014 in which the current situation in the country has roots.

The Iranian experts explained that the Americans collapsed the democratically-elected government and brought their puppet government into power through velvet revolution.

In 2013, according to Izadi, the elected government in Ukraine was faced with two economic packages: one offered by Europeans and one by Russia; the Ukrainian government chose the Russian package.

The Americans, as a result, moved toward changing the regime through NGOs established in Ukraine and staged a coup which resulted in a far-right government in Kyiv that began putting pressure on minorities of Russian descent, the expert said.

This led to a civil war that left 14,000 dead, 80 percent of whom were Russians, according to Izadi who also added that the West-oriented government raised the issue of Ukraine’s joining NATO under the West’s pressure, although the Ukrainian government knew that was not in the interests of Kyiv and this is the root of the current crisis in Ukraine.
