Saree reveals statistics highlighting Ansarallah gains in liberating Yemen

In a press conference held on the afternoon of 2 January, Yemeni Brigadier General Yahya Saree, announced that the forces of the Ansarallah-led Yemeni resistance had successfully liberated an estimated 12,250 square kilometers of territory.

The liberated territory was located within the provinces of Marib, Al-Jawf, Bayda, Hodeidah, and Shabwah.

During the press conference, the Ansarallah Brigadier General Sunday also disclosed the statistics of military operations carried out by the Yemeni resistance throughout 2021.

He noted that the years 2020 and 2021 consisted of offensive operations by Ansarallah forces that contributed to both the liberation of large territories in Yemen and the delivery of significant losses to the Saudi-led coalition.

The Brigadier General said that during 2021, the armed forces of Ansarallah executed 194 qualitative defensive operations and 382 retaliatory operations.

In that same year, the Engineering Unit of the Ground Forces of Ansarallah carried out 5,010 operations; 3,375 of which targeted US-Saudi military personnel; 1,390 that targeted coalition and aggression vehicles; and 245 that targeted army barracks.

The Artillery Unit of the Yemeni resistance completed a total of 21,925 military operations against allied US-Saudi barricades, which included 283 joint operations by the Air Force and 2,298 operations involving the use of Zelzal-1 Iranian-made missiles.

Saree estimated that there were more than 1,527 enemy casualties as a result of resistance operations. The Ansarallah also succeeded in destroying 276 armored vehicles as well as a military bulldozer, a tank, 32 different calibers, three thermal cameras, and three sets of communications networks belonging to the Saudi-led coalition.

Of the 4,497 total drone operations, 4,017 Ansarallah drone attacks successfully struck targets of the Saudi-led US-allied enemy coalition within Yemeni territory. Ansarallah also successfully shot down over 24 of the Saudi-led coalition’s drone aircrafts.

According to Saree, these included one Chinese-made CH-4 drones, 12 US-made ScanEagle drone planes, one US-made MQ-9 drone, one Turkish-made Karayel drone, and two RQ-20 drones used by the Saudi Air Forces.

Of the UAE-operated equipment, Ansarallah successfully shot down two Chinese-made Wing Loong drone planes.
