GAZA (KI) – Senior Hamas official Moussa Abu Marzouk said on Sunday that “striking all of Israel’s cities” is still an option for the resistance movement in response to the Zionist regime’s actions in al-Quds and other locations, the Kan public broadcaster reported.
The warning from Marzouk came just ahead of a contentious march by Zionist right-wing extremists scheduled to be held through parts of al-Quds’ Old City.
Marzouk cautioned that if “the enemy” carries out “its usual activities” in al-Quds and other places, “our decision is already made that it is possible the war will return,” according to the report.
The original parade was stopped short on May 10 after warning by resistance movements in Gaza.
The resistance movement also slammed the Arab regimes that have normalized ties with the Zionist regime.
Hamas said UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s remarks against the Palestinian movement and Lebanon’s Hezbollah are in line with the Zionist regime’s failed propaganda campaign against the Axis of Resistance.
“Bin Zayed’s incitement of Western countries to designate Hamas as terrorist is contrary to Arabism and all nationalist concepts. Such statements fall within the framework of Zionists’ failed propaganda, and are in opposition to Arab nations’ protectionist approaches towards the Palestinian resistance groups,” Hamas spokesman Hazem Qasim tweeted.
The American Jewish Committee opened an office in Abu Dhabi on Monday, and the UAE foreign minister welcomed its inauguration in an address to the organization’s virtual global forum.
The diplomat, however, took jibes at Hamas and Hezbollah resistance movements as well as Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood, stating that there must not be a separation between their military and political wings.
“It is unfortunate that some countries do not act more clearly in classifying some organizations, such as Hamas, Hezbollah or the Muslim Brotherhood,” bin Zayed said.
“It is ridiculous that some governments only call the military branch of an organization terrorist and go beyond its political branch, while there is no difference between them,” he added.
Hamas also lambasted U.S. congresswoman Ilhan Omar for “equating the victim with the executioner” during her remarks in condemning the recent brutal aggression by the Zionist regime on the besieged Gaza Strip, which killed hundreds of people.
In a statement on Saturday, Dr. Basem Naim, a member of the International Relations Office of Hamas Movement, said a recent statement by Omar, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, was strange as she grouped Hamas with the Zionist regime, the U.S. and the Taliban militants group.
“The remarks made by U.S. congresswoman Ilhan Omar are very peculiar; she equated between the victim and the executioner when she treated the resistance of the Palestinian people, the Israeli crimes in Palestine, and the US aggression in Afghanistan as an equal footing,” the Hamas official said.
Omar, a Minnesota Democrat, posted a video on her official Twitter account on Tuesday, saying that “unthinkable atrocities” have been “committed by the U.S., Hamas, Israel, Afghanistan, and the Taliban”, asking U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken “where people are supposed to go for justice.”
