Iran’s Significant Leap in Production

By: Kayhan Int’l

"Year of Leap in Production” was the goal set by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution for the Iranian calendar year 1399 solar hijri when it began on Nowrouz, the Spring Equinox on March 21, 2020.

The year is now all set to end next Saturday, and the results of the past 12 months in the face of US economic terrorism have certainly been positive despite the ever-rising inflation – mostly due to mismanagement rather than any lack of resources or expertise.
If the concerned officials had fully followed Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei’s practical formula for the "Economy of Resistance” the results would have been much better and the country more immune from the illegal sanctions imposed by the US to scare away other countries from buying Iran’s prime export, that is crude oil.
Nonetheless, the year saw an increase of 6.8 percent in oil exports which continued to flow to international markets through a variety of ways since nothing can stop eager customers from buying this precious black gold.
Iran, which possesses 10 percent of the world’s proven oil resources and 15 percent of the world’s proven gas resources, has managed to significantly reduce dependence on oil exports and views the illegal American sanctions as a blessing in disguise in spite of the short term harm it has caused its economy.
The Islamic Republic, with a population of 85 million and a literacy rate of over 90 percent, has abundance of skilled and semi-skilled manpower, in addition to world-class experts in various professions, including medicine, engineering, nuclear energy, aerospace, telecommunications, the cyber field, and several other areas of modern technology.
This is the reason the country in the year which is about to end has taken great strides to upgrade its means of defence as effective deterrence against any would-be aggressor.
It produces state-of-the-art conventional armaments, along with the safe and secure bases to store them for rapid use in case of any emergency situation.
Iran also successfully sends satellites into outer space, and in the course of a year since the start of the Coronavirus pandemic, its pharmaceutical labs have begun production of effective antidotes that are better than the vaccines being produced in the US and the West.
In the field of steel production, Iran saw a ten percent increase this year, and at the same time continues to build dams, as well as huge pipelines for transport of desalinated sea water to its dry areas hundreds of kilometers inland.
Iran, which is blessed with a wide variety of crops, including fruits, many of which are exported, is self-sufficient in wheat production, and this year its agricultural produce totaled 130 million tons – an increase of five million tons.
It is true that inflation has to some extent reduced people’s purchasing power, but this is the result of gross mismanagement and the failure by the concerned officials to properly put into practice the Leader of the Revolution’s practical instructions.
Certainly, sheep in Iran do not eat dollars, nor are euros required for the growth of grass in the country. More or less the same rules apply to the fishery department, dairy farming, and especially poultry, whose prices have shot up astronomically, not because of a drop in production but the criminal culling and mass burying of millions of newly hatched chicks by greedy producers as part of their stranglehold on the market in stark violation of Islamic rules.
Thus, whether or not the US lifts its criminal sanctions, Iran is too big and too important a country to succumb to international blackmail – a point its officials should keep in mind – and the best bet for national progress and immunity from enemy plots, is to fully observe the wise guidelines of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, who this Nowrouz as usual will set another appropriate and enterprising goal to designate the year 1400.
