Biden-Harris inauguration: historic in more ways than one!

Crescent International

For once we in the Crescent International agree with the mainstream media.

The Biden-Harris inauguration as president and vice president respectively is truly historic.

Our reasons are different—that we will outline below—but there are certain historical firsts here.

Joe Biden is 78 years old, the oldest person to be sworn in as president.

His vice president Kamala Harris is not only the first female but also the first black and person of color to be elected to this office.

She has certainly breached some major barriers.

The swearing-in ceremony took place amid extraordinary security.

Washington DC looked like Baghdad in Iraq under occupation.

Thousands of troops in combat gear were deployed.

Metal barriers and razor barbed wire ringed the capital city of the “leader of the free world”.

Not even a fly could penetrate the security barriers.

Luckily, American troops had plenty of experience setting up barriers in Iraq, Afghanistan and other places.

They were able to establish Washington DC’s own ‘green zone’, replete with barricades and barbed wire.

Some freedom, some democracy!

And unlike previous inaugurations when literally hundreds of thousands if not millions of people attended, this time the venue was virtually deserted.

It was not because of the pandemic; there was a serious security threat from America’s own terrorists for all the precautions to be put in place.

After the swearing-in ceremony that was also attended by two former presidents—Barack Obama and George W. Bush but not Trump who in a fit of rage had left the White House early to fly to Florida for the last time in Air Force One—Biden and Harris drove to Arlington Cemetery.

True, the official announcement said it was to lay a wreath at the tomb of the unknown soldier but we have a sneaky suspicion, Biden had other motives too.

At 78 and not in the best of health, you have to count your hours not days.

Might he have gone there, accompanied by his wife Jill, to find a suitable spot for his final resting place, just in case?

Biden has already said he will be a one-term president.

That is a wise decision. The point is, whether he will be able to serve his full term?

Our investigative reporters tell us that he often forgets to take his pills, including his laxatives.

Luckily, his wife Jill is a medical doctor. She gives him all his medications and the laxatives on time to keep him regular.

Giving medications on time is also included in the duties of the first lady for which they don’t get paid.

It’s hard to be a woman even in the age of women’s emancipation.

Somethings never change.

Meanwhile, our special correspondent in Florida informs us that Trump has already smashed several television sets with his golf club.

He took a swing at the first one when Biden and Harris appeared for the swearing-in ceremony.

Trump fumed and indulged in expletives insisting he was still the president of the United States.

“The election was stolen”, he insisted.

At Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, he asked where were fake news reporters from CNN.

“What about Fox News?” he asked.

There was nobody to record his fulminations.

The narcissist-in-chief who insisted television cameras must record his every move including if he passed wind, and play it as top story on the Six o’clock news, were nowhere around.

Our reporter reminded him he was no longer the president and therefore, not newsworthy anymore.

He immediately shot back and said that was fake news.

Trump threatened to sue Crescent International.

Our correspondent replied: “Go ahead, make our day. Sue us. I have the full authority on behalf of the management to tell you that.”

With the golf club held in his small hands, Trump took a swing at our correspondent but he was at sufficiently safe distance from the ugly American.

Not being in front of cameras to be his nasty self is even more difficult for Trump than being thrown out of the White House.

After all, even when he officially occupied the White House that had to be fumigated before Biden moved in, Trump spent most of his time at Mar-a-Lago.

So, he won’t miss the White House.

What he does not realize is that Florida is very close to Guantanamo Bay.

Many people believe that is where Trump and his thieving family belong.

And his flight to Gitmo will not be on Air Force; he will be transported in an air force Hercules aircraft that only has plastic hammocks for seats.

The US army has prepared special cells for Trump, Ivanka, Jared Kushner, Eric and Trump Jr, and of course, not to forget Rudy Giuliani, at Camp Delta in Gitmo.

We wish them a long and miserable stay.

And if they ever try to escape from Gitmo, they should remember the waters are infested with Crocodiles.

They will have a feast, even if they get indigestion afterward!
