NOURNEWS - The plight of women prisoners in Saudi Arabia was the subject of a recent report by Scottish lawyer Baroness Helena Kennedy, which referred to many international and Saudi laws and agreements that had been violated by Saudi authorities during their detention.
Two close associates of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman were directly involved in torturing Saudi women activists in Saudi prisons; Torture includes beatings, electric shocks, sexual harassment, and threats to kill prisoners' family members.
One of them is Saud al-Qahtani, a former adviser to the Saudi Crown Prince who was also involved in the assassination of Jamal Khashoggi, a critical Saudi journalist in Turkey, and the other is Khalid bin Salman, the younger brother of Mohammad bin Salman.
