It is rather strange that on the pretext of ‘freedom of speech’ and ‘freedom of action’ the most abominable crimes are being committed in the modern world, and that against Islam, which is a synonym for peace, harmony, and a healthy way of life, and against Muslims which means those who submit to non except the Almighty Creator.
The latest act of blasphemy against the holy Qur’an, which Muslims regard as the final heavenly scripture for the guidance of mankind, preceded by several other revelations in different periods of history all over the world, including the Torah and the Evangel, was committed in Sweden.
In a controversial gathering in the city of Malmo last Friday, Danish politician Rasmus Paludan, who leads the anti-Islamic group Tight Direction (Stram Kurs), burned a copy of the holy Qur’an despite the fact that Muslims never burn the holy books of other religions, although they may not agree with their contents.
What was more shocking was the remark of Prime Minister Erna Solberg of neighbouring Norway on Monday when on the pretext of ‘freedom of speech’ she tried to defend the tearing of pages of the holy Qur’an during a recent anti-Islam rally in her country.
Muslims neither hate the Christians nor hate the Jews, or for that matter the followers of other religions.
For instance, they agree with Christian and Jewish scholars that the various versions of the gospels in circulation amongst the different sects of Christianity and Judaism were written several centuries after the prophets of the past had preached their missions and left the world.
But Muslims do not burn these various versions of the gospels in which tampering has continued to take place over the past millenniums to the extent that Prophet Jesus is called a ‘god’ or a ‘godson’ – an idea which is diametrically opposed to the concept of Towheed or Monotheism.
"Say, ‘O People of the Book (Jews, Sabeans, Zoroastrians, Christans etc.)! Come to a word common between us and you: that we will worship no one but Allah, and that we will not ascribe any partner to Him, and that we will not take each other as lords besides Allah.’ But if they turn away, say, ‘Be witnesses that we are Muslims (those who submit to none except God Almighty).’” – Holy Qur’an 3:64
This is indeed a message of peace and peaceful coexistence with all. Moreover, of the 6,666 Ayahs of the holy Qur’an, there are hardly forty Ayahs, that is, less than one percent of the book, which call for war and that too as means of self-defence when attacked.
In view of these facts, the demagogues in the West, especially US president, Donald Trump, who is a notorious racist and raves and rants against Muslims, are advised to tone down their rhetoric of hatred, since such deviated elements including the Paludan the Dane cannot even be called true Christians, let alone human beings with sympathy for the rest of mankind.
