Activists urge Muslims to intensify presence at Aqsa tomorrow

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM
Jerusalemite social media activists have called on Muslim worshipers to intensify their presence at the Aqsa Mosque tomorrow, especially for the Fajr and Friday prayers.

The activists urged all citizens in Jerusalem and those who can enter the city to head for the Aqsa Mosque with their families as of the dawn of Friday to renew the pledge to protect the holy site against ongoing Israeli intents to control and Judaize it.

They said that the intensive presence of Muslim worshipers for Fajr prayers at the Mosque would reflect the Muslim nation’s glory and its adherence to its holy sites.

Last Sunday at dawn, the Islamic Awqaf authority in Occupied Jerusalem reopened the Aqsa Mosque’s doors to thousands of Muslim worshipers, who performed the Fajr prayers for the first time since its closure over two months ago as a preventive measure against coronavirus.

At the time, Sheikh Omar al-Kiswani, director of the Aqsa Mosque, called on all Muslim worshipers to observe anti-coronavirus measures and health instructions and cooperate with the Mosque employees for their own safety.

“There should be awareness in order for us to coexist with the virus and to keep al-Aqsa open to worshipers,” he said.
