Implications of Escalated Anti-Zionist Sentiments in Western Countries

Strategic Council Online – Opinion: The continuation of the Zionist regime’s crimes in Gaza and Lebanon has “provoked” and intensified anti-Zionist sentiments in the world’s public opinion, especially in Western countries.

Barsam Mohammadi – Regional Affairs Expert

In recent weeks, we have witnessed the launch of a new wave of anti-Zionist protests in various regions of Western countries, which in some cases have taken on “operational” dimensions and have targeted extremist Jews and Zionist populations supporting the Israeli regime. This issue is the direct result and “cost” of the killing of the Palestinian and Lebanese people by the Zionist regime.

The upward trend of the “struggle” against the Zionists and the destruction of Zionist symbols, which has been launched in an “unprecedented” manner and has even threatened the security and well-being of Jews, has become one of the main concerns of Western governments, which is “absolutely” affected by the Gaza war and the massacre of Muslims in the heart of the Islamic world.

For example, in recent weeks, we have witnessed a series of “violent attacks” in collective and individual forms against various groups of extremist Jews and Zionists in multiple parts of the world, including Amsterdam, New York, Chicago, London, and dozens of other cities, which shows that the wave of anti-Zionist actions and feelings has not only not died down, but is also emerging in “new dimensions.”

One of the “most dangerous” events in this regard recently occurred in Amsterdam, Netherlands, as a result of which hundreds of Zionist settlers who had insulted the Palestinian flag and chanted racist and anti-Palestinian slogans were injured and killed in the city’s main square and the home stadium of Ajax Amsterdam, as well as in other areas.

The events in Amsterdam were so terrifying for the Zionist regime’s officials that Isaac Herzog, the President of the Zionist regime, referred to the incident as “horrifying and shocking” in a conversation with the King of the Netherlands. Gideon Saar, the Israeli Foreign Minister, also went on an emergency trip to the Netherlands and described the attack as a warning to Europe and the world!

In France, anti-Israeli organizations, accompanied by representatives of the French parliament and supporters of Palestine, held a large march in the streets of Paris to condemn the celebration and football match between the French and Israeli teams.

Two similar incidents occurred in New York, and Palestinian supporters in this city carried out attacks against supporters of the Israeli regime. At DePaul University in Chicago, unidentified masked individuals attacked and injured two Jewish students who supported the Israeli regime. In Ireland, a student who supported the criminal regime was attacked by three people after his Zionist identity was identified.

Meanwhile, surprisingly, many European hotels refuse to provide services and accommodation to Zionists. This action has been so widely reported in the Israeli media that it has been interpreted as “the return of 1940s anti-Semitism to Europe”!

In addition, after a short hiatus, a significant part of public opinion within Israel, who sees themselves losing everything in the Gaza war, has returned to the streets and, with greater seriousness and protest slogans, considers the Zionist regime’s war in Gaza a full-scale genocide and demands an end to it.

The above series of events is a serious “alarm” for the Zionist regime that it cannot continue the war in Gaza and against Muslims and that it should not witness violent actions by Western citizens, and more importantly, non-Muslims, against its own citizens and Jews in other parts of the world.

This clearly shows that the insistence of the Zionist regime and the United States on continuing the war in Gaza and Lebanon and the incessant bombing of Palestinian and Lebanese citizens has not only put the Zionist regime in a tight spot internally and on the part of the public but has also exposed Jews living in Western countries to life-threatening.

In recent weeks, Jews living in Europe have been faced with the serious question of how “safe” they are in Europe! As mentioned, this is the cost that the Israeli regime’s war cabinet has created for Jews and ordinary citizens who support it in the West.

The spread of anti-Semitism and attacks by Western citizens against Jews and centers and gatherings affiliated with the Zionist regime have become a “serious concern” in political, security, and media circles in Western countries, the origin of which must be sought in the Zionist regime’s massacres in Gaza and Lebanon.

The United States, the Zionist regime, and Western governments cannot forever ignore the sensitivities of public opinion regarding the war in Gaza and the regime’s crimes against the Palestinian people. The continued support or silence of Western governments regarding the crimes of the Israeli regime in Gaza and Lebanon, along with their “ignorance” of the demands of their public opinion in this regard, will gradually create important “challenges” and will overshadow their “security and national sovereignty,” from which there is no escape. To prevent a situation that will ultimately cost them their security, Western governments and the Jews living in these countries have no choice but to exert pressure on the Zionist regime to end the war and genocide and not support this regime. Otherwise, they will naturally have to bear the consequences of the war against Gaza and Lebanon in their capitals, which could become increasingly dangerous in the future.
