TEHRAN – In a letter to the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Office for Strengthening Unity (Daftar-e-Tahkim Vahdat), an Iranian student organization, has urged Jordan to reconsider its ties with Israel, especially in light of the recent developments in Gaza.
The association commended the October 7th operation, which it argued signaled a pivotal moment in the resistance against Israel, demonstrating the resolve of Palestinians who opted for resistance over compromise.
The letter criticized Jordan's dependence on Israel and Western powers, cautioning that such reliance puts the country at risk.
The association called on Jordan to break free from this influence and take a decisive stand in support of the Palestinian cause.
The students stressed the need for Jordan to reject any Israeli initiatives to strengthen its defenses and urged the country to recognize Hamas as a legitimate political and military force.
The letter ended with a stern warning to Jordan's leaders, urging them to align with the Resistance movement to avoid potential historical and divine repercussions for supporting an illegitimate regime.
The students expressed hope that Jordan would remove the "shameful stain" of normalizing relations with Israel and pursue a new direction in the region.
