Despite killing/maiming thousands, zionist terrorist plot fails in Lebanon

The zionists carried out two terrorist attacks on two consecutive days—September 17 and 18—in Lebanon but apart from killing and maiming thousands of innocent people, they failed in their overall objective.

The zionists had hoped that thousands of explosive-laden pagers and two-way radios would explode simultaneously.

That would have resulted in thousands of deaths.

Fortunately, the overwhelming majority of pagers and radios were off, thus preventing mass casualties from occurring.

The explosions went off in crowded supermarkets, hospitals, schools, on busy roads, and even in people’s homes.

The attack maimed more than 3,000 people and killed at least 37, among them children, according to the latest count.

The zionists’ extreme criminality was again apparent when the second attack on September 18 occurred while funeral processions of the martyrs of the previous day were underway.

In the second attack, two-way radios exploded.

Not surprisingly, almost all electronic devices have been shut off to prevent more explosions.

While Benjamin Netanyahu’s aim is clear: to continue the war in order to save his own hide, such terrorism will not go unpunished.

Hizbullah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said pager and walkie-talkie explosions by the zionist entity on Tuesday and Wednesday are a declaration of war.

“The enemy has crossed all red lines and all laws in this attack. This is a massive terrorist attack, genocide, a massacre,” Seyyed Nasrallah said in a televised address September 19.

He vowed that Israel will face “tough retribution and just punishment, where it expects it and where it does not.”

The Islamic resistance leader said that Israel’s intent was to kill 4,000 Lebanese people within minutes but many of the pagers were out of service, turned off or stored away.

“When the enemy planned out this attack, they assumed there were at least 4,000 pagers spread out across all of Lebanon. This means that the enemy had the intention of murdering 4,000 people in a single minute.

“The same was repeated on the second day with the aim being to kill thousands of people carrying radio devices,” Seyyed Nasrallah said.

Targeting civilians, especially women and children, is a speciality of the zionist war criminals.

Continuation of the war also helps funnel billions of dollars into the pockets of US weapons manufacturers.

More than $50 billion worth of weapons have already been sent to Israel.

Another $20 billion are in the pipeline.

Netanyahu also wanted to stoke fear and mass panic among the entire population.

Further, he had hoped that the Lebanese masses, especially Christians, would turn against Hizbullah.

Instead, all Lebanese have rallied around the Islamic resistance, seeing this as an attack not only on Hizbullah but on Lebanon itself.

There is little doubt that Hizbullah will retaliate.

Netanyahu is desperate to get the US directly involved in the war.

While the US is involved because it provides the bulk of weapons Israel is using, it also provides diplomatic and political cover for zionist war crimes.

Netanyahu’s aim is to get American troops involved in direct attacks on Hizbullah and Islamic Iran.

He sees this as his only chance to save his regime—and thus, his thick hide.

There is a serious risk that this might erupt in a regional war.

The Israeli army is exhausted and depleted yet Netanyahu keeps pushing it against the advice of his military commanders.

He does not care even for the Israeli soldiers.

His primary—and only concern—is to save his regime.

That is a long shot.

Israeli defence officials have said that should the war continue the illegitimate entity will not be around in a year’s time.

That would be welcomed by most people in the region, indeed throughout the world.

This terrorist entity needs to be put out of commission permanently, and soon.
