Lebanon's Arabic-language al-Mayadeen TV news channel reported that Hezbollah fighters attacked the Meron air control base and the Beit Hillel military base with a barrage of rockets and artillery shells.
These strikes were a response to Israeli drone attacks that killed two Hezbollah military commanders in the southern Lebanese towns of Ain Baal and Shehabiyeh.
Hezbollah also stated that its fighters targeted the Command Headquarters of the Israeli military’s Eastern Brigade 769 in Kiryat Shmona barracks, as well as the Command Headquarters of the 146th Division in Kibbutz Jaatoun, with volleys of Katyusha rockets.
Israeli media reported that Hezbollah rockets inflicted damage at Kiryat Shmona barracks, and their rockets also triggered warning sirens in Israeli settlements near the Lebanon border.
Israeli Army Radio stated that the Lebanese resistance group launched at least 20 rockets towards the Western Galilee region in northern occupied territories. There were no reports of property damage or injuries.
Hezbollah, in a separate statement, announced it had hit the al-Baghdadi site with artillery shells.
The group also reported that three of its members were killed in clashes with the Israeli army in southern Lebanon.
Since October 7, when Israel began a devastating war on Gaza that has left at least 33,843 Palestinians dead, including many women and children, the Israeli regime has continually attacked southern Lebanon.
In response, Hezbollah has conducted near-daily rocket strikes on Israeli targets.
At least 349 people have died along the Lebanese border, including 68 civilians.
The ongoing conflict has led to the evacuation of tens of thousands from the northern part of the occupied territories due to the rocket and shelling attacks from Hezbollah and allied Palestinian groups.
Hezbollah has previously resisted and repelled Israeli attacks in the 2000 and 2006 wars, compelling Israel to withdraw in both instances.
