Iranian FM Amirabdollahian in Amman for Summit on Iraq

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian, heading a diplomatic delegation, arrived in Jordan early Tuesday to attend the second edition of a regional summit on Iraq.

 The Iranian foreign minister was welcomed by Jordanian political and military officials upon his arrival in Amman.

Amirabdollahian is going to deliver a speech to the summit, present Iran’s views about ways to ensure security and development in Iraq, and hold meetings with a number of officials attending the summit.

The meeting is the second round of the Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership.

Iran, Iraq, Turkey, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and France as well as two new guests — Bahrain and Oman — are attending the conference, the first round of which was held in Baghdad in August 2021.
