Palestinian factions issue statements affirming resistance

By

Palestinian factions condemn the flagrant violations of the Israeli occupation and stress they will pursue their struggle until the liberation of Palestine.

In light of the escalation in Israeli violence against Palestinians, Fatah movement called for “putting an end to the internal division and making the necessary preparations to confront the upcoming terrorist government of Benjamin Netanyahu."

On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the first Palestinian uprising (the Stones Intifada), Fatah Spokesperson Munther Hayek said, "The transfer of the direct confrontation with the Israeli enemy to the ’48 occupied Palestinian territories constitutes an important message which says that the Palestinian people reject the occupation and are unwilling to accept an economic solution or to coexist with the Zionists on the basis of peaceful solutions."

Hayek stressed that "the Palestinian people, who offered thousands of martyrs, wounded, and prisoners, and sacrificed everything they owned, still adhere to all their legitimate rights and will pursue their struggle until liberation, independence, and the return [to Palestine]."

He pointed out that "the sacrifices of the Palestinian people stand as a message to the international community to pursue a political solution, but the Israeli occupation renounced the agreements after the killing of Yitzhak Rabin and the rise of the extreme Israeli right."

The Fatah official also called for "ending the Palestinian division, strengthening the internal front, consecrating the steadfastness of our Palestinian people, and preparing to confront the upcoming terrorist occupation government."

Hamas condemns the IOF attacks on Christians in Gaza

On its part, the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas condemned the Israeli occupation for preventing Christian Palestinians from freely practicing their rites and accessing their holy sites.

The movement condemned, in a press statement, today, Thursday, the Israeli occupation authorities for preventing Christian Palestinians in Gaza from accessing the holy sites in occupied Al-Quds and Beit Lahm to take part in the holiday celebrations and religious occasions.

Hamas considered the Israeli move a flagrant violation of their rights to practice their religious rites, thus depriving them of their natural right to access places of worship.

"In the face of these racist violations and policies that are repeated every year, we call on the United Nations, the international community, and human rights institutions to shoulder their responsibility in stopping the occupation's violations against our Christian citizens,” the statement read.

The movement demanded the people’s right to access places of worship freely and called for punishing the Israeli occupation authorities and leaders for their crimes and violations of the most basic human rights guaranteed by Divine laws and relevant international laws.

Earlier, the Israeli authorities prevented 200 Christians from the Gaza Strip from heading to Beit Lahm in the occupied West Bank to participate in Christmas celebrations.

Escalating resistance in West Bank is a strategic choice: Mezher

The Deputy Secretary-General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), Jamil Mezher, said it is one of two; either Palestinians retrieve Palestine or the fight will be passed down from one generation to another.

During his speech at a national festival in Gaza to commemorate the 55th anniversary of the launch of the PFLP, Mezher stressed that the Front is working to formulate a unified national strategy on national foundations that adhere to resistance as the main option.

Touching on the confrontations with Israeli occupation forces in the occupied West Bank and Al-Quds, Mezher pointed out that the PFLP has taken the short-term option off the table and considers it a gateway to concessions, announcing the return to its strategic choice.

"In the name of those entrenched in their national identity in Haifa, Al-Naqab, Al-Nasirah, Umm Al-Fahm, Al-Jalil, and the Triangle, there are no solutions, no settlements, and no negotiations with the occupier," the PFLP official clarified.

The Deputy Secretary-General affirmed that "the Front will continue in the path of struggle and resistance."

Mezher considered that the enemy is delusional if it believes that the plans of extremist Knesset member Itamar Ben-Gvir can pass without an action that lights up every corner of the homeland in the face of the Zionists, stressing that the PFLP and the other Resistance factions will not allow any Palestinian, city, village, or camp to be assaulted.

He stressed that "the escalation of resistance in the West Bank is a strategic choice, and accordingly we will fight alongside the Resistance factions in order to turn all settlement outposts into points of confrontation."

The PFLP official affirmed that the battle of breaking the siege on Gaza and every besieged inch in the occupied homeland is a priority for defending the existence of the Palestinian people and their resistance, noting that the Front is working with the patriotic community to devise new methods to confront the blockade, capable of forcing the Israeli occupation to end it.

Mezher indicated that the PFLP's hand "is extended to rebuild the Palestine Liberation Organization, the only legitimate representative of our people, on national and democratic foundations, and on the basis of national partnership."

West Bank Resistance fighters confuse enemy calculations: Al-Nakhalah

Under the title of Resistance, the Secretary-General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement (PIJ), Ziad Al-Nakhalah, stressed that the Palestinian Resistance fighters in the occupied West Bank confront without hesitation the Israeli occupation forces, mess up the enemy's calculations, and try to break the siege of Gaza, to announce that Palestine, its people, and its resistance stand as one.

In his speech on the occasion of the launch of the PFLP, Al-Nakhalah stressed that Resistance fighters in the occupied West Bank are thwarting the Israeli occupation's illusional Zionist project of controlling and Judaizing the West Bank, stressing that "the Palestinian people are still fighting for their right to life, their land, and their sanctities."

The PIJ Secretary-General said that "we all stand without hesitation and without illusions to say that if we want our freedom and the liberation of our homeland, we must complete the path of the martyrs, as it is what gives us life and draws the features of our future and the future of our children. Let us make every occasion a day for Al-Quds, a day for Palestine, and a day for the martyrs who preceded us on the path of glory and resistance."

He stressed that the biggest challenge facing the Palestinian people today is to preserve this spirit and determination, with a unitary discourse, and to leave the deadly partisanship that drains the energies of the Palestinian people.

Al-Nakhalah pointed out that despite the crimes committed by the Israeli occupation against Palestinians, there are some sides that show closeness to the occupation and a willingness to serve it, paving the way for more crimes.
