Iran Too Powerful To Yield to US Economic Terrorism

By: Kayhan Int’l

Whether one calls him Donald the Dotard or Trump the Terrorist, the roguish US president who is a combination of both these words, has in what appears to be a dying act of his presidency, imposed some more of his illegal sanctions on Iran and the Iranian people, in the vain hope of forcing the Islamic Republic to yield to his threats.
It seems he is not the lone blockhead in the current republican administration in Washington which is made up of harebrained criminals committing blunders upon blunders by thinking that economic terrorism will make America great again.
As a matter of fact, these nincompoops who Thursday targeted Iran’s financial sector in violation of the UN resolutions and humanitarian principles by imposing sanctions on 18 Iranian banks, despite the objections of their traditional allies, the West Europeans, have further isolated the US on the international scene.
Today, American power and prestige is at its weakest level since the end of World War 2, and rapidly going down.
Trump is dreaming of another four-year term in the White House, by foul means of course, since fair voting in the US means he will be kicked out for good, and politically dead.
This is the nightmare he is facing and in a bid to hang on to executive power which he has blatantly abused both at home and abroad, against American citizens and against the free world, resulting in loss of popularity, he is desperately trying to win some points against Iran in the hope of improving his sagging image.
The racist Trump, who has virtually ignited a civil war in the US by persecuting the black people, axed his own feet (and of the US) in May 2018 by unilaterally withdrawing from the 7-nation accord on Iran’s right to use peaceful nuclear energy, is not a sane person to admit his mistake.
Since then, in blatant violation of international rules he has indulged in more criminal acts and state terrorism against Iran, such as his assassination of the legendry anti-terrorist figure, General Qassem Soleimani, in the beginning of January this year, followed by idiotic moves at the UN Security Council that boomeranged upon him.
As for the new set of illegal sanctions, none of the Iranian banks have any assets in the US and will thus not be directly affected by such terroristic threats to the financial sectors of the free world in a bid to prevent them from dealing with the Islamic Republic.
Of course, similar to mosquito bites, Iranians will feel some sort of irritation, especially in the current circumstances of the worldwide spread of the Coronavirus pandemic, but thanks to the farsighted measures adopted by the Islamic Republic, the US sanctions will not lead to any malaria epidemic, since the country has plenty of other sources to carry on trade and economic activities.
Iran has shown time and again that it will never be browbeaten into submission, and with complete trust in God Almighty, knows fully that the US cannot do a damn thing.
For the past forty-two years, the Islamic Republic has been a bulwark against US hegemony, which has greatly been reduced in our region, where independent governments and the people of our neighbhourhood take pride in Tehran’s positive influence and its rapidly advancing industries, including the defence sector that produces armaments which are more than a match for the so-called state-of-the-art American technology.
