Black Americans Can Only Bear So Much Injustice

Black Americans Can Only Bear So Much Injustice
TEHRAN (FNA)- The Pentagon regime has ordered the US Army to put several active-duty military police units on the ready to deploy to Minneapolis, where the police killing of George Floyd sparked widespread protests nationwide.
The get-ready orders were sent verbally after President Donald Trump asked Defense Secretary Mark Esper for military options to help quell the unrest in Minneapolis. Protests erupted in Minneapolis this week after video emerged showing a police officer kneeling on Floyd’s neck for nearly nine minutes, eventually killing him.
This is not the first time that Americans from all walks of life, including students, women, minorities, immigrants and blacks, have taken to the streets nationwide to express their fear, anger, concern, and outright opposition to what Trump’s racist presidency represents. Certainly, it won’t be the last time, either.
The overwhelming majority of black people will continue to respond to the violence and terrorism practiced against them with protests because White America refuses to abandon racism and injustice. On top of all that, black protesters know for an absolute fact that their rallying cry for justice will be ignored by the White Media, the very people whose attention they are trying to get, but to no avail.
The rallying cry "I Can’t Breathe!” sends a clear message to those who are still under illusion: America has a human rights problem with its killer cops. Here, the so-called global champion of human rights should realize that its manifold human rights violations and issues are systematic and deliberate.
The Trump administration frequently accuses other countries that protect their citizens against destructive, fraudulent governments and cults of violating human rights. The US even imposes sanctions or threatens those countries with economic boycotts should they not accept its self-serving views and narratives on these issues.
The US is the only country in the world that attempts to strong-arm other countries, its enemies in particular, into accepting its foreign policy views on the proxies it supports – including separatists, terrorist groups, and deposed puppets and dictators.
The US chides other countries for alleged human rights violations, but consistently and deliberately refuses to acknowledge and address its own dismal record of human rights violations and those of its allies in the Middle East. For instance, the US government uses differing measures to falsely claim that nationwide protests against the recent police brutality are “riots”, or that its police forces are not violating human rights law when they kill defenseless black Americans in cold blood.
All this and more are the reasons why across the world, human rights groups and organizations are also reacting with great concern to the current unrest and violence in the US. They are desperately urging Washington to make a renewed commitment to human rights, and to work with, rather than against, its back people.
The problem is, Team Trump have already made clear that just like previous administrations, they are only there to serve the interests of White Supremacist groups and factions in the US. Meaning, all those disillusioned, marginalized black Americans are right to express their fear, concern, anger and opposition to the shocking inaction of the White House regarding the recent police brutality.
They know and the whole world should realize that Trump’s stated goal is not to help lift humanity up or work for the common good of his people. He will never lead a strong and compassionate response to the recent humanitarian emergency which has prompted the worst unrest and violence in recent US history.
As well, it’s wrong to expect any humanitarian gesture from a man who refuses to abandon his anti-human rights rhetoric, and found a path to the White House through a campaign marked by racism and xenophobia. In the face of murder and oppression, Trump was not chosen to respect and promote human rights, much less uphold America’s obligations under international law to protect its black communities against killer cops, represent all Americans, and drain the swamp that is Washington’s growing human rights problems.
