The Reasons the Saudis are Scared Stiff of Iran

By: Kayhan Int’l

Why Saudi Arabia is so scared stiff of the Islamic Republic that it barred the Iranian delegation from participating in Monday’s meeting of Muslim states in Jeddah, even when the Organization of Islamic Cooperation had officially invited Iran for discussions on the U.S. president’s ‘Conspiracy of the Century’ to make the illegal Zionist entity the Lord Sovereign of all Palestine?
What makes Riyadh reject the non-stopped diplomatic overtures from Tehran for peaceful settlement of all outstanding issues?
Interesting questions indeed, and the answers are quite obvious.
First and foremost Iran is a nation state well defined by geography, history, culture, and faith – all durable features which British created Saudi Arabia which had no existence before 1932, sorely lacks.
Second, Iran has a representative government formed on the vote of the people in regularly held parliamentary, presidential, and other nationwide elections, while Saudi Arabia – as its name suggests – is an unrepresentative state ruled by a single family that belonged to Najd, but which through British-supported loot, plunder, occupation, and violently bloodstained seizures (of even the holy land of Hijaz), now dominates the major part of the Arabian Peninsula with no respect for the will of the various tribes and religious groups under its dictatorial domination.
Third, the Islamic Republic of Iran is an independent country in the true sense of the term, without the least dependence on any power. In contrast, the regime in Riyadh still clings to the aprons of Britain and takes orders from the U.S., without whose support, as Donald Trump has repeatedly said to humiliate the Saudis, it will collapse like a cardboard house.
Fourth, while Tehran strives to build bridges with neighbours and actively helps them fight terrorism of every hue and colour, including Zionist crimes against Palestinians, and the unwarranted presence in the region of the American hegemon, Riyadh has a bleak, black, and bloody record of funding terrorists and spreading terrorism to destabilize Muslim countries.
This is evident by the macabrely murderous activities of Salafi/Takfiri groups in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Syria, Iraq, and other places, including Nigeria and other parts of West Africa.
Fifth Iran’s parliament has elected representatives of all religious groups including Christian, Jews, Zoroastrians, and Sunni Muslims, who openly practice their rites and rituals, in contrast to the persecution by Saudi Arabia of Shi’a Muslims who make up the overwhelming majority in the eastern oil rich region, but remain oppressed and deprived of their own national wealth.
Sixth, Iran has neither invaded any country nor has embargoed any neighbour, like Saudi Arabia’s invasion and the ongoing massacre of the people of Yemen, and the attempt to besiege Qatar.
Seventh, Iran, as per the teachings of the holy Qur’an, has never withheld help and cooperation from any Muslim or oppressed country, while Saudi Arabia, in violation of the letter and spirit of the Heavenly Scripture deceived, backstabbed and overthrew the only democratically elected government in the history of Egypt, lured and betrayed President Omar Hassan al-Bashir of Sudan, and is now openly dallying with the Zionists to sellout Palestine and Islam’s first Qibla, Bayt al-Moqaddas.
There are many more differences between a historical country that has existed for millenniums and will continue to flourish, while even the ruling Wahhabi cult is dead sure that suddenly one fine day the spurious Saudi state will not be visible on the map of Arabia any more.

Anyway, despite Iran’s absence at the OIC meeting in Jeddah, the united will of the Muslim Ummah prevailed in rejecting the criminal Trump’s ‘Conspiracy of the Century’, and pledged support to the Palestine cause, whose most ardent supporter is the Islamic Republic, which calls for the end of Israel’s illegal existence in Palestine.
