The rationale behind such restrictions, according to the ministry, was that these measures aim to preserve the sanctity of mosques. How much do the Bani Saud care for the sanctity of mosques will be considered shortly but let us continue with the directives of the so-called ministry of guidance and da‘wah. It argued that the restrictions were necessary to maintain a suitable atmosphere for worship, ensuring that worshippers are not distracted.
Further restrictions included prohibition on collecting financial donations to organise Iftar meals in mosques. The regime said iftar meals can only be held in designated areas under the supervision of the relevant authorities. The ministry directive also informed the public that it was to ensure compliance with “health and safety measures”.
One wishes that these measures are truly meant to ensure “health and safety”. These latest Saudi directives have gained momentum as the regime hurtles towards ushering in vulgarity and gambling. Beaches have also been opened where scantily-clad women, mostly from the west, are a common sight.
How much do the Bani Saud care about the sanctity of the mosques can be gleaned from the fact that several entrances to al-Majid al-Haram are named after the various rulers of occupied Arabian Peninsula. Since when have bandits, thieves and rapists earned the right to have entrances to the most sacred mosque in the world named after them?
The Bani Saud do not belong to the Hijaz; they are from Najd. They were installed in power 100 years ago to serve British colonial interests. Today, the Bani Saud’s role has expanded to serve imperialist and zionist interests as well.
The fact is Makkah and al-Madinah are as much occupied as is Masjid al-Aqsa in Al-Quds/Jerusalem and the holy land of Palestine. There is much in common between the Bani Saud and Bani Israel in terms of their behaviour toward committed Muslims. The basic difference is that the Bani Saud are slaves of the imperialists and zionists while the later act as masters of the world.
The issue of “health and safety” must also be considered. Nobody can argue against their importance but are the Bani Saud providing a healthy environment in Makkah and do they care for the safety of the hujjaj? Those who have performed Hajj will testify that places like Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifah turn into garbage dumps during Hajj. The Bani Saud and their minions argue that this is because of a lack of attention to cleanliness by the hujjaj.
Whose responsibility is it to clean the place: that of the hujjaj or the Saudis? Should the hujjaj eat their plastic containers in which food is served? The Saudis charge exorbitant fees—beyond the reach of most Muslims in the world today—for Hajj and Umrah. The Bani Saud are so incompetent that they cannot clean these places in a timely manner that result in major health hazards for the hujjaj. Hardly any pilgrim ever returns from Hajj or Umrah without getting sick. Must this be the case?
While we are on the topic of the sactity of the mosques, epecially al-Masjid al Haram in Makkah, pilgrims are confronted by the spectacle of such junk food outlets as KFC, McDonalds and Star Bucks the moment they step outside the confined space of the Haram. Is this not an assault on the Muslims’ sensitivities? They go to get closer to Allah yet they end up being gouged by western junk food outlets that are harmful to their health.
Star Bucks’ symbol is the sun goddess. It depicts a woman’s face with flowing hair. Is it permitted in Islam; is there one ayah (verse) in the Qur’an or a Prophetic hadith that permits such images?
When the Prophet (pbuh) liberated Makkah in the 8th year of the Hijrah, he not only smashed all the idols, he also removed all images inside the Ka‘aba. Why have the Bani Saud brought images back into Makkah? If such images are displayed openly immediately outside the doors of the Haram, how long before idols are reinstalled back in the Ka‘aba?
This is not a rhetorical question. In Dubai, Hindu temples have been opened up. Members of the ruling family were in the forefront of participating in Hindu rituals bowing to idols. And last year, there was even an Iftar party at the biggest temple in Dubai at which the minister of religious affairs spoke and praised the Hindus’ peaceful nature. Is the Emirati official unaware of the genocide that the 200 million Muslims are subjected to India?
The country is ruled by Hinduva fascists who have made no secret of destroying all the mosques in India. The destruction of Babri Mosque is the most famous of the mosques destroyed by these Hindu fascists. Indian prime minister Narendra Modi belongs to this party that is leading the genocidal campaign against Muslims.
The Bani Saud are not far behind. They have invested more than $100 billion in the Indian economy. Last year, a Hindu female minister was allowed into Masjid al-Nabawi. This is problematic on several levels. First, Allah has expressly forbidden mushriks near the Haram of Makkah, and by extension, the Haram of Madinah. Second, the noble Messenger (pbuh) expressly forbid any mushriks from entering the Arabian Peninsula.
Add to these the restrictions imposed on the number of loud speakers a mosque can have to call the adhan. There can be only four speakers, according to the Saudi ministry of religious affairs. And their volume must not exceed one-third of the maximum sound.
The reason? The loud adhan disturbs people, says the ministry of religious affairs. Which people, on may ask: Does the adhan disturb some ‘royal’ prince who may be slumbering after stuffing his oversized belly with enormous amounts of food?
That is clear reason why these uncouth Bedouins must be banished to Najd from where they erupted. This must be done as soon as possible before the pollute the Ka‘aba with idols, as their forefathers did before the advent of Islam.
