Israel’s deliberate targeting of civilians continues. Barring a few exceptions, most Muslim governments, especially Arab regimes have also abandoned the Palestinians to the non-existent mercies of the zionist genocidal maniacs.
There is, however, another side to this grim picture. It is the strength and resilience of the Islamic resistance. Despite facing enormous odds, the Islamic resistance in Palestine has not been defeated. On the contrary, it has frustrated zionist war aims and exposed deep fissures in Israeli society.
The zionists continue their murderous campaign against innocent civilians out of frustration. Despite their planes, missiles, artillery, tanks and a vast network of intelligence gathering provided by the Americans and treacherous Arab regimes, the zionists have failed to subdue, much less eliminate the Islamic resistance movement, Hamas.
Instead, the Islamic resistance has emerged stronger. Its popularity among the Palestinians has gone up since the zionist onslaught was launched last October. What accounts for this remarkable phenomenon?
Despite their suffering, most Palestinians support Hamas and Islamic Jihad for standing up for their rights. They also see the Islamic resistance movement as restoring their dignity and honour. Given that the vast majority of Palestinians are Muslim, they see the struggle against Israel in terms of Imaan (faith-commitment) and martyrdom. This is equally true of Palestinian Christians.
Unlike the zionists and their western enablers, the Islamic resistance does not rely on material possessions alone. Planes, missiles, tanks and guns and bullets are not functions of their strength and resilience. Taqwa and Imaan are. These cannot be defeated much less eliminated. The evidence is there for all to see.
For decades, Islamic resistance movements were demonized. Vile propaganda led by the zionists and amplified by western politicians and the media branded Islamic resistance movements as “terrorists”. Israel was presented as the “victim” even when it murdered innocent men, women and children in cold blood.
Its nine-month genocidal war on Gaza has exposed zionist Israel’s true nature. It is the enemy of humanity and a terrorist state. Islamic resistance movements that are struggling to secure their fundamental rights to freedom and dignity are not the villains projected by a scandalously biased media under direction from their regimes.
The whole world now recognizes this fact despite continuous propaganda against the Islamic resistance. Student protests and encampments worldwide, especially in the US provide proof of this phenomenon. The western ruling elites are terrified of this development, hence their targeting of student protests.
The manner in which zionist thugs and police forces across the US have attacked peaceful student protests have brought home the point who the real enemy is. Western ruling elites are deeply enmeshed with the zionist war criminals. Their claims to uphold the rule of law, respect free speech and assembly as well as respect human rights lie in shambles on the dismantled encampments at university campuses.
The west is not a civilization despite Josep Borrell’s racist remarks of “the jungle” beyond the [west’s] so-called garden. The collective west including zionist Israel represents barbarism of the worst kind. Even primitive man did not indulge in such savagery as the west has done in the last 200 years.
The west is imposing its secular system on the others. This has been achieved through western political and economic domination of the world, and scientific and technological advancement. Such success can easily lead to hallucinations and visions of grandeur. The west insists that the rest of the world must adopt its secular system if it wants to make progress.
In the west’s self-crafted image and role, there is no room for an alternative system, especially one based on faith. Those that attempt to present an alternative worldview must be crushed and destroyed.
The west claims that its secular system not only represents human perfection but the primordial nature of man. It is the arrogance of the “end of history” phenomenon, as Francis Fukuyama pompously claimed in his 1992 book of the same title.
The civilization of Islam challenges this ludicrous assertion of the west. For Muslims, Islam represents the primordial nature of man. For the west, Islam’s worldview is based on unscientific dogma and superstition.
The struggle underway in the world today must be viewed in the context of these two opposing worldviews. This struggle has been going on for more than 200 years but has intensified in recent decades because Islam started to assert its own worldview.
The victory of the Islamic revolution in Iran in 1979 led the way. It has since inspired Islamic resistance movements elsewhere: Hizbullah in Lebanon, Hamas and Islamic Jihad in Palestine, Hashd al-Shabi in Iraq and Ansarallah in Yemen. Indeed, it has inspired even non-Muslims since it speaks about the rights of the mustad‘afeen (the oppressed people worldwide).
The west’s barbaric nature is also evident in the fact that since 911, it has slaughtered more than 20 million people worldwide. The vast majority of the victims—more than 90%—are Muslim.
If killing millions of people is a sign of civilization, the west is welcome to it. The rest of the world would rather not be a part of it. The west’s intensified barbarism against Muslims indicates that it fears the emergence of the political power of Islam. All attempts to subdue it have failed.
Instead, the west is digging its own grave and will soon be consigned to the dustbin of history. All empires bite the dust, sooner rather than later. America and the west are no exception. Their defeat will come at the hands of Islam and Muslims. It will be sweet revenge for centuries of subjugating Muslims.
