TEHRAN- From Tehran to Toronto to al-Quds, people worldwide have taken to the streets in jubilant displays following Iran's forceful response to Israel's recent assault on Iran's diplomatic mission in Damascus, Syria.
On Saturday, the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) unleashed a series of powerful missile and drone strikes on Israeli-occupied territories, in direct retaliation for the April 1 attack that claimed the lives of Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Zahedi and other IRGC commanders.
In Tehran, crowds gathered at Palestine Square and the University of Tehran, waving flags and chanting slogans in solidarity with the IRGC.
Similar scenes unfolded in Mashhad, where demonstrators outside Imam Reza's Shrine denounced Israeli aggression and celebrated Iran's response.
Even in al-Quds, Palestinians rejoiced upon hearing news of Iran's retaliation, while Gaza residents expressed joy as Iranian missiles targeted occupied territories.
Support for Iran's retaliation extended beyond West Asia, with Iraqis in Karbala and Lebanese in Beirut showing appreciation outside Iranian embassies.
Pro-Palestinian activists in Toronto joined the chorus of praise, lighting fireworks and waving balloons in recognition of Iran's retaliatory strikes.
The global outpouring of support underscores the significance of Iran's response in challenging Israeli aggression and asserting regional solidarity.
