TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Seyed Mohammad Ali Hosseini underlined that the US has faced failure in its anti-Iran diplomacy due to the strong resistance of the Iranian nation.
"The US faced humiliation at the UNSC when its attempt to extend arms embargo on Iran was rejected by other states," Hosseini said.
He said Iranians perfectly know that Americans always preferred our country to be ruled by their stooges than by an independent administration.
“So, Iranians have a negative picture of American interventionism in their internal affairs and suppression of their democratic governments even before the 1979 revolution,” added the diplomat.
Hosseini said that fortunately and for the sake of strong resistance by Iranians, the US has faced failure in most of its Iran-policy.
In relevant remarks on Monday, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said history bears witness that his nation has never surrendered to bullying, adding that Tehran expects other countries not to be silent against US illegal moves.
Rouhani said that the Iranian people have never yielded to bullying by different powers, adding, “Iran expects all countries not to keep silent against terrorism and the illegal measures that the US has taken over the years.”
