Spirit of Martyrdom Thwarts US Terrorism

Without the least doubt, the US is the prime purveyor terrorism all over the world, especially in Muslim countries and particularly in Iran which for the past forty-four years has been the target of assassination of officials; organized killing of citizens; slaughter of soldiers during the imposed war; and systematic murder of men, women, and innocent children through economic sanctions coupled with the sporadic instances of riots by thugs, traitors, and other criminals taking orders from abroad.

Yet, to the exasperation of the US, the Islamic Republic continues its dauntless march in all fields towards the pinnacles of progress, thanks to the spirit of martyrdom which the Islamic Revolution has infused into the Iranian people.

In other words, the selfless striving of the pious and patriotic people of Iran in defence of their homeland and its life inspiring religious-cultural values, even at the risk of death, has triumphed over US terrorism.

“Do not think of those who are slain in the way of Allah as dead. Nay, they are alive with their Lord and are provided sustenance (by Him).” (Holy Qur’an 3:169)

There are numerous examples of this indomitable spirit of self-sacrifice that has nipped in the bud Washington’s devilish plots to undermine, if not overthrow, the system of popular Islamic rule in Iran. 

It was the US whose agents of the heretical Forqan grouplet assassinated prominent religious scholar and philosopher Ayatollah Morteza Mutahhari in May 1979.

It was the US which ordered Saddam of Baghdad’s repressive Ba’th minority regime to impose the war in September 1980 that dragged on for 8 years and led to the slaughter tens of thousands of Iranian combatants, in addition to civilians killed in the bombing of cities and use of internationally banned chemical weapons – supplied by the US and Germany. 

It was the US which commanded the MKO terrorists to kill as many as 17,000 Iranian citizens, including religious leaders, officials, members of parliament, and ministers, with the prime targets being Chief Justice Ayatollah Seyyed Mohammad Husseini Beheshti, President Mohammad Ali Rajai, and Prime Minister Hojjat al-Islam Mohammad Javad Bahonar. 

It was the US at whose bidding the illegal Zionist entity carried out the killing of several Iranian scientists, chief among them, Dr. Mohsen Fakhrizadeh. 

It was the US which created the macabrely murderous Takfiri terrorists to indiscriminately massacre the people of Syria and Iraq in a bid to establish an Israeli-like spurious state of Takfiristan stretching from the Mediterranean coast of the Levant to the headwaters of the Persian Gulf as a prelude to the invasion of the Islamic Republic – a satanic plot foiled by Iran by infusing the spirit of Jihad and Martyrdom into the local people.

As a result, in sheer frustration the dastardly US directly assassinated the Icon of Anti-Terrorism, General Qassem Soleimani, in January 2020 while on a diplomatic mission to Baghdad. 

Last but not the least, it was the US in complicity with the Zionist entity, certain reactionary Arab states, and the West European regimes of France, Britain, and Germany, which incited a group of thugs, traitors, and terrorists, to trigger riots in a few localities of Tehran and parts of some other cities last September to loot and vandalize public and private properties, desecrate mosques and religious centres, shout blasphemous slogans, and cruelly murder security forces and ordinary persons in a vain bid to tarnish the image of the Islamic Republic.

The blood of martyrs has indeed triumphed over the terrorism of the US, to ensure the longevity of the Islamic Republic, its steady progress, and growing positive influence in the region and beyond, including in Latin America, in the very proximity of a clearly alarmed Washington.
