He emphasized that this hostility is not a reaction to specific policies of the Islamic Republic, but rather rooted in the structural dominance of the international system.

Khorshidi explained that any nation seeking independent decision-making or challenging U.S. interests is met with Washington’s aggressive response. “The Islamic Revolution dismantled one of the pillars of the regional order favored by the United States and introduced a new model of independence and resistance—one perceived by America as an existential threat,” he said.

He stressed that the U.S. cannot tolerate the sovereignty of nations that operate outside its sphere of influence. “This behavior is not exclusive to Iran,” he noted, “but part of a consistent pattern among global hegemons who respond with hostility toward independent actors.”

Referring to the experiences of other nations, Khorshidi added: “Any country that distances itself from dependency on dominant powers faces pressure and threats. Therefore, U.S. hostility toward Iran must be analyzed within the framework of the global hegemonic order, not as a reaction to Iran’s specific conduct.”

In conclusion, he underscored the importance of raising awareness among younger generations. “Clarifying the historical and structural roots of this confrontation plays a vital role in strengthening political insight and preserving national independence,” he said.
