Yesterday the Islamic Republic of Iran commemorated the martyrdom anniversary of the Lady martyred in the defence of “Wilayah” or the Divinely Decreed leadership of the Ummah, by anarchists opposed to God-oriented rule of human societies.
Today the faithful in many other countries are paying tribute to this paragon of feminine virtues for safeguarding the fundamental principles of the heavenly message of her father even if defending the political right of leadership of her husband requires the sacrifice of her life in order to expose the hypocrisy of the usurpers.Salutations to Hazrat Fatema az-Zahra (SA) whose tragic departure from the mortal world, marked worldwide today, continues to inspire us to uphold feminine virtues and the duties of women, whether in domestic matters or social affairs through reflection on her brief but bright life, especially by pondering on the universally immortal message of her flawlessly eloquent sermons.
Indeed, Iranian women and the virtuous women in all societies, including in the West and other non-Muslim countries observing the tenets of Islam, are indebted to the Immaculate Daughter of Prophet Muhammad (SAWA).
Real freedom for the females, as enshrined in the constitution of Iran – not the fake liberties feigned by the Godless – are based upon what the Infallible Fatema bequeathed to posterity as the Faithful Wife of Imam Ali ibn Abi Taleb (AS), the Loving Mother of Imam Hasan (AS) and Imam Husain (AS), and the Immaculate Teacher of women taught.
Islam has a balanced approach towards women and it attaches a high value for them. Man and woman are equal humans but due to their different physical and emotional structure in some cases, they have different characteristics and rights.
After the victory of the glorious Islamic Revolution basic changes occurred in all political, social and cultural levels of the society for the benefit of women by providing them a healthy atmosphere for spiritual and intellectual growth that have manifested in different fields, ranging from scientific achievements for Iranian women to sports and cultural activities.
For instance, the literacy rate for women in Iran is as high as 90 percent from the mere 30 percent before the victory of the Islamic Revolution.
Over the past forty-six years, millions of patriotic women have had a lively presence in all spheres of the society including modern science and technology. Clad in the freedom of the Hijab they compete with men in a healthy atmosphere for both the material and spiritual progress of the country and its growing influence abroad.
According to the martyred Iranian philosopher, Ayatollah Morteza Motaharri, man and woman are two stars in two different orbits and each should move in his or her orbit. Their freedom and equality are useful when none of them exit from their natural orbit.
Today, despite the negative propaganda of the West to undermine feminine values by promoting the lawlessness of ungodly and immodestly attired women, we witness the flourishing of talents of Iranian ladies in a wide variety of fields, such as international scientific Olympiads, and technological spheres such as inventions, innovations in NANO technology, nuclear energy, aerospace, and etc.
In short, the Iranian women’s spiritual growth is indebted to the Islamic government, Islamic teachings and Islamic values, since the power of faith opened the path of great endeavours before them and enabled them to create unique and awe-inspiring scenes of courage, sacrifices and creativity at difficult junctures.
