Persian language is a powerful tool for developing public diplomacy, said Head of the Academy of Persian Language and Literature Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel.
He added that Saadi Foundation and Islamic Culture and Communication Organization (ICRO) serve as two wings for spreading Persian language in the world.
He made the statement on Wednesday on the sidelines of the 10th meeting of cultural attachés of the Islamic Republic which opened on July 24 and will run through July 28, according to IRNA.
The foundation’s activities are complementary to the ICRO’s mission, he said, adding that the body is an offshoot of the influential ICRO.
The authority of each country is significantly associated with the spread of its language in the world, Haddad-Adel noted.
Speaking on the foundation’s activities, he said that the body produced 40 book titles to help spread the Persian language.
Iran’s Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad-Mehdi Esmaeili and Head of ICRO Mohammad-Mehdi Imanipour were present at the opening of the meeting on July 24.
