Islamic Unity Reduces Disputes Among Muslims

: Hojjat al Islam Mohammadi Qa’ini in Interview with TNA

He stated: The system of the universe is a monotheistic system, both in creation and in legislation. The Lord, the Creator, and the Deity are One, and no form of polytheism has a place in Him. In numerous verses of the Qur’an, whether exclusive or non exclusive, God Almighty declares: “Your God is One God”—the One whom all must turn to, be gathered before, and seek help from.

He explained: God is One in His essence, attributes, and actions. In essential monotheism, we believe there is only one Necessary Being. In attributes, we hold that all divine attributes are identical to each other and to His essence. In active monotheism, it is established by rational proof that no act occurs in the universe except by the will of God, which is its source and has effect in it.

The scholar noted: If we look at the system of legislation, the world is monotheistic in worship, in the formation of the Ummah, in creation from a single soul, in reliance upon God, in guardianship where there is only one Master, in rulings where there is only one judgment, in lordship where there is only one Lord, and in supplication where man must not stretch his hand to anyone other than God. Thus, numerous verses and narrations indicate that the foundation of Islam is built upon monotheism, which is reality itself.
He added: In Surah al Jinn, verse 20, God commands the Prophet to say: “I only call upon my Lord and I do not associate anyone with Him.” And in the narration we read: “The hand of God is with the community.” God’s will, grace, and favor are present where people gather together and act in unity, whether in political or social matters.
He continued: For example, did we personally know Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah? Was he our relative, classmate, or childhood friend? No. Yet love for him resides in our hearts. Are the Palestinians our relatives? Do we have kinship ties with them? No. So why do our hearts beat for them, why do we lose sleep thinking of them, and why do we endure hardships to help them? Because they act for God, utter His name, and rely upon Him.
This Shi’a scholar remarked: God addresses the obstinate Jews who falsely claim to be His chosen servants: if you are truthful, then wish for death. Since you do not, know that you are lying and are not true monotheists. A genuine monotheist loves God. When the Supreme Leader speaks, all the leaders of disbelief in East and West calculate their response, retreat, and take precautions—because he fears none but God and relies upon Him.
He stressed: O Muslims—Shi’a, Sunni, East, West, Arab, Turk, Persian, whoever you are, wherever you are, with whatever occupation or viewpoint—let us unite. Let us worship the One God in reality, just as we all pray toward one qibla, hold fast to one Qur’an, and follow one rightful leader. We must strive to act upon monotheism in all matters, avoid alliances with unbelievers, and stand like mountains behind one another.
In conclusion, he emphasized: Do not magnify minor and secondary differences. Matters that belong to scholars and require academic discussion should not be raised in public gatherings. Let us truly love one another from the heart. Then you will see disputes diminish, affection increase, and truth become more manifest and evident.
