Imanipour: Iran’s remarkable achievements stem from the noble name of Islam, unity of its people

According to Taghrib News Agency(TNA), Hojjat al‑Islam Mohammad‑Mehdi Imanipour emphasized during the meeting that Muslims, wherever they may be, must feel responsible and sensitive toward the concerns and challenges of the Islamic Ummah.

He stated that in the face of the organized wave of Islamophobia, unity among Muslims is not a choice but a strategic necessity. Solidarity is the key to countering hostile propaganda and presenting the true discourse of Islam on the global stage.
Referring to the significant progress of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imanipour noted that after the victory of the Revolution, Iran embarked on a path aimed not merely at political change, but at redefining national identity on religious, justice‑oriented, and popular foundations.
He added that thanks to the unwavering determination of the noble Iranian people, the foundational ideas of the late Imam Khomeini, and the wise guidance of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, the Islamic Republic has achieved major accomplishments on the international stage—achievements that compel admiration from any observer. These remarkable successes, symbolized most recently by the inauguration of the first Imam Khomeini Global Award, are rooted in one fundamental truth: the exalted name of Islam and the sacred unity of the Iranian nation.
Imanipour also referred to Iran’s proposal to designate the 1500th anniversary of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as the “Year of the Prophet of Mercy,” which was adopted by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. He highlighted several programs held in Iran and other Muslim countries in this regard.
He stressed that today, more than ever, the Islamic world must focus on the lofty and central status of the Prophet of Mercy, Muhammad al‑Mustafa (PBUH). His life and teachings serve as the guardians of morality and the roadmap for unity among all Muslims.
The President of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization then addressed the situation in Gaza and Palestine, stating that throughout the entire period of occupation, the oppressed Palestinian people have endured relentless suffering caused by the actions of the Zionist regime and the support it receives from global arrogance. The plight of this courageous nation must never be forgotten, for forgetting it would mean surrendering to oppression and despair.
He continued: The primary responsibility of the Islamic Ummah everywhere is to stand with the oppressed people of Palestine and support their brothers and sisters in Gaza. This is a religious, humanitarian, and historical duty. Just as the founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini—one of the most influential leaders of the modern era—consistently emphasized unconditional support for the Palestinian people, we too are obligated to continue on this path.
Imanipour affirmed that our determination must remain firm and unwavering in the pursuit of liberating al‑Quds and freeing the oppressed Palestinian people from this historic suffering. This struggle is not merely the battle of one nation; it is a test of the entire Islamic world’s commitment to justice and truth.
During the meeting, members of the Board of Trustees of the Islamic Center of Thailand presented a report on the center’s activities and spoke about Iran’s status and the dignity it has brought to the Islamic world.
The Imam of Bangkok highlighted Iran’s position and its development across various fields, stating that Iran has always been a peace‑loving and justice‑seeking nation—an approach clearly reflected in its support for the oppressed people of Gaza.
He noted that the Islamic Republic of Iran has brought honor to the Muslim world, which is why Muslims everywhere take pride in Iran.
The Imam of Bangkok added that the Islamic Republic is a herald of peace and unity in the world.
He expressed hope that interfaith dialogues would contribute effectively to addressing issues of the Islamic world and other religions, and to strengthening their role in promoting peace.
It is worth noting that the President of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization is visiting Thailand to attend the Interfaith Dialogue Summit, where he is scheduled to meet with leaders of monotheistic religions and experts in this field.
