Shut Down Outposts of US Terrorism to Save Gaza

Ever since the victory of the Islamic Revolution of the Iranian Muslim masses who threw into the dustbin of history the British-installed and American-backed rootless Pahlavi regime and showed the exit door to the 50,000 US personnel based in Iran, Tehran has been cautioning the countries of the region of the dangers of Zionism and the presence of foreign military bases, which are outposts of terrorism to prolong the illegal existence of Israel in our midst.

Unfortunately, most of our Muslim neighbours failed to discern friend from foe and succumbed to the propaganda of the enemies of Islam and Muslim unity, such as the Godless Saddam of Iraq’s repressive Ba’th minority regime who styled himself as champion of Arab interests and the equally ungodly Americans who posed as protectors of Arab states against the spread of the Islamic Revolution.

They forgot the chronic question of Zionist occupied Palestine and the Islamic goal of liberation of Bayt al-Moqaddas by granting hundreds of billions of petro dollars to Saddam to prolong the war against the Islamic Republic for eight long years, and inviting the US to send its navies, establish military bases, siphon off crude oil at dirt-cheap rates, and sell them hundreds of billions of dollars of arms that will never match the sophisticated weapons provided to Usurper Israel.

The disastrous result of these unwise moves is fully evident today in the carnage of the Palestinians of Gaza, the perpetual persecution of the poverty-stricken people of the West Bank, the Judaizing of Bayt al-Moqaddas, the desecration of the sacred al-Aqsa Mosque, the annexation of the southern parts of the Golan Heights, the unabated aerial attacks on Syria, the occupation of the Shabaa farmlands, and the constant violation of Lebanon’s sovereignty through shelling of border regions.

Even Christian hospitals, churches, schools, activists, and journalists are not spared from this Zionist savagery, which is sadistically supervised by the US and British navies, while the heads of Arab and Muslim states, many of whom have been duped into establishing diplomatic ties with the sworn enemies of Islam, watch in silence.

So, where is Arab (and also Turkish) nationalism? Where is Islamic conscience? Where are humanitarian principles?

What are the Muslim countries afraid of? Why don’t they ask the US to close its military bases and withdraw the CENTCOM terrorists from the region? Aren’t the American bases in Iraq and Syria illegal with the Iraqis and the Syrians having the right to forcibly kick them out, in accordance with the UN Charter?

Have they become ignorant of their own history? Don’t they know that the 88-year illegal existence of the Latin Crusader Kingdom of Jerusalem had ended in 1187 only when the Muslims had summoned the courage to mobilize all their resources to liberate Bayt al-Moqaddas. 

Wasn’t it the charge of the Turkish cavalry, the courage of the Arab infantry, the archery of the Kurdish leaders, and the skill of the Khorasani (Iranian) sappers in mining and blowing the fortifications of the Crusaders, while the Egyptian navy played a vital role in blunting the bid of European powers to send reinforcements that spread the sweet scent of Islamic victory from Muslim Spain in the west to Central Asia and the borders of the China and India in the east?

This is not something of the past. This can be repeated today, provided we knit our ranks to confront the enemy, save the Palestinians from the general slaughter, and marshal our resources to liberate Bayt al-Moqaddas.

The Islamic Republic of Iran is fully confident that this will happen in the near future and the illegal Zionist entity will no longer be on the map of West Asia, with no choice for the CENTCOM terrorists but to retreat in humiliation from the region.
