Iran Honors Prominent Historian Abulfazl Beyhaqi

TEHRAN – An international conference was held in Sabzevar, formerly known as Beyhaq in northeast Iran, on Monday to honor renowned Iranian historian, Abulfazl Beyhaqi.
The two-day conference saw participation from writers, scholars, and researchers from various countries including Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Armenia, Iraq, and the Iraqi Kurdistan both online and in person.
The event was organized in collaboration with Hakim Sabzevar University, according to conference secretary Mahyar Alavi.
Abulfazl Beyhaqi (995-1077), celebrated as the father of Persian prose by experts and analysts, is renowned for his invaluable contribution to literature through his book, Tarikh-e Beyhaqi. His work is considered one of the richest in Persian prose.
