Defense min: Ukraine developments, result of west’s unilateralist approach

Tehran, IRNA – Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Ashtiani said here on Thursday the US and west are trying to impose their unilateral and totalitarian approach all over the world and Ukraine developments is one of its results.

Brigadier General Ashtiani made the remarks in a meeting with visiting Pakistani Air Force Commander Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar where he also condoled with him, the Pakistani nation and government on the sad occasion of the recent devastating flood.

Brigadier General Ashtiani said that Iran and Pakistan have besides their long shared borders lots of deep historical, social and religious commonalties, as well as their important and influential roles in the region and the Islamic world.

He said that the international developments have become quite complicated today, among which we can refer to the joint US and other western countries’ unilateralist and totalitarian approach all over the strategic regions in the world, within the framework of which the Ukraine developments is viewed as the result of that unilateralist approach.

Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar, for is part, praised Iran’s resistance in confrontation with the sanctions, and especially the advancement of Iran’s aviation industry amid the tough sanction’s conditions, asking for expansion of cooperation in tangible and practical fields, such as establishment of peace and security along shared borders.

He also proposed exchange of delegations, designing and establishment of shared aviation workshops, industrial and academic cooperation, and establishment of shared industrial and technological parks.
