The association issued a statement on Thursday, condemning the latest terrorist attack in Afghanistan’s capital, Kabul.
Three blasts targeted a high school and an education center on Tuesday. The Taliban put the death toll at six, but witnesses said 27 people, including students had lost their lives.
The statement said that the bombing took place on the first anniversary of another school attack in Kabul and this shows that terrorists are only seeking to create fear and panic.
The statement also said the Tuesday attack along with the desecration of the holy Qur’an in Sweden indicates that terrorists and those trying to create religious phobia are on the same path and use violence to cover their weaknesses.
"Religious phobia and Takfirism are just tools imperialist powers use to safeguard their interests, which commit crimes and create violence to hamper unity, security and progress of nations," the statement added.
Iran’s Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism, in its statement, also called on the international community to make efforts to uproot terrorism.
