The International Union for Muslim Scholars (IUMS) denounced the recent Israeli attack on the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, which left 270 people dead and hundreds more injured.
In a statement, the IUMS described the Zionist regime’s attack as a stark violation of international and humanitarian laws, according to the Union’s website.
It underlined the responsibility of Arab and Muslim countries, the world community and the United Nations Security Council for putting an end to such atrocities against the Palestinian nation.
The union called on the UN and other international bodies to take immediate action for an end to such crimes and bringing the perpetrators to justice.
It also urged the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab League to mobilize efforts to enhance international support for Palestine and delivery of aid to the Gaza Strip.
On Saturday, the Zionist regime’s army launched an attack on the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, killing at least 270 people and injuring more than 400.
The massacre has drawn widespread condemnation amid the ongoing Israeli regime’s aggression on Gaza that has so far killed more than 37,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children.
