Mojtaba Amani
Giving a speech during the meeting, Mojtaba Amani said that “Iran’s presidential elections would have bilateral effects on the region, its friends and enemies,” stressing that Iran’s elections have always been important for the world.
“While Iran’s major policies are definite, each Iranian government has its own taste in terms of regional and international approaches. That is a reason why we have witnessed foreign reporters covering Iran’s elections,” he added.
Referring to the Palestinian issue, the former Iranian diplomat noted that “Iran’s approach towards Palestine is very important for friends and enemies. There are some parts dedicated to oppressed Palestinian people in Iran’s constitution, and governments have a vital role in the implementation of these laws.”
He then said that after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Western countries tried to divert Iran’s revolutionary values concerning the Palestinian people so that Iran recognizes the Zionist regime as a state.
“Iran does not change its constitution and therefore, it doesn’t change its approach and policies towards the Zionist regime,” Amani further stressed.
He also said that “Iran is passing through an important pathway in the region against Western countries, and the future approach in the next four years would be highly determinative for them.”
